mPOINT Re-launches as Panvidea with Enhanced Broadcast and Video Post-Production Capabilities
Re-launch Coincides With Major Client Wins Including A&E Television Networks, Fox Broadcasting Company, and Getty Images
mPOINT, a global leader in the on-demand preparation, processing, and distribution of entertainment and advertising content, has announced that it is re-launching as Panvidea, with an enhanced feature set focused on meeting the needs of professional media companies and several new clients, including A&E Television Networks, Fox Broadcasting Company, and Getty Images.
The re-launch positions Panvidea as the premier provider of professional broadcast encoding and automated post-production services. Panvidea is the only on-demand provider that supports a wide range of broadcast quality formats, post-production operations and video workflow tools. Along with this effort, Panvidea is releasing a new version of its service. Specific product enhancements include:
- a more powerful and user-friendly dashboard with real-time monitoring
- increased system performance enabled by detailed input file analysis and enhanced resource allocation algorithms
- new video processing capabilities such as standards conversion, audio downmixing, commercial slate creation and support for a broad range of broadcast quality formats
- updated service packages based on content hours output instead of per-GB in and out to encourage high-quality video sources.
“Panvidea combines an instantly scalable, SaaS-based post-production and encoding engine with an integrated online dashboard for managing the entire video processing workflow from ingest to delivery,” said Chris Cali, CEO and Co-founder of Panvidea. “Through continued product development and performance enhancements, we automate many non-creative post-production and encoding processes, enabling content owners, advertisers and broadcasters to realize instant and significant cost savings while improving quality and speed of distribution”.
Founded in 2007, Panvidea boasts an impressive list of customers including A&E Television Networks, Fox Broadcasting Company, and Getty Images. Panvidea is backed by Greycroft Partners, New York’s leading digital media venture capital firm.
“The business of content distribution is changing at light-speed,” said Cali, “and the traditional technology providers have fallen behind. Media producers and content distributors are struggling to service new digital channels and modernize operations, and they have the difficult challenge of reducing costs while simultaneously increasing revenue. Panvidea is a fast, efficient and cost effective way to encode digital elements, manage relevant metadata, edit and transform content for different purposes, and supply content as digital products to any platform or device.”
